Blue Tree, LLC is a boutique publishing firm based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and was founded in February 2004 by Brian Smestad. The company is dedicated to publishing unique photography books, art books, cookbooks, and children's books, and has published over nineteen titles which are distributed regionally and nationally to local bookstores and national sellers like Barnes & Noble and Borders as well as non-bookstore markets.
Brian Smestad is the Chief Executive Officer of Blue Tree. He was drawn to the art of photography at age twelve, and by twenty-two his first book was published. His passion for artistry and his enthusiasm for travel have carried him around the world. As an artist, Smestad provides an innovative and creative approach to design and layout. He has over seven years experience in the publishing industry and over fifteen years experience as a photographer.
